Beach Hats, Bare feet, and Big Skies - Pure Lakeside Freedom, Without The Resort Price Tag
Tucked along the quiet shoreline of Lower Arrow Lake, Lakeside Castlegar Cabins feels like a place you discover by accident — and never want to leave.
These off-grid cabins aren’t fancy, and that’s the point. Painted in bold, unexpected colors, they feel like a little slice of the Mediterranean tucked into the BC wilderness.
Wake up slow. Brew Oso Negro coffee. Watch the light spill over glassy lake water while the world stays quiet.
Spend your day on the lake. Paddleboard, float, swim, or do absolutely nothing at all. In the evening, light a fire, roast marshmallows, and sit under a sky full of stars.
If you’re ready to explore, Syringa Park is just down the road, with trails and waterfalls to wander. Climbing at Lion’s Head is minutes away — right behind a local smokehouse and pub. And Castlegar boasts river trails, craft breweries, great food, and the largest bike park in the Kootenays.
No pressure. No polish. Just fresh air, crisp water, and room to breathe.

"We had a fantastic time and it was so, so beautiful. You guys truly have such a gem of a property there. (For the wedding) Thank you guys SO much again for all your hard work and for allowing us to use the property for our special day. It was so much fun and we talk already about visiting each year on our anniversary to see what you guys do with it!!"

I really did enjoy my stay at the cabin last week - you have a fantastic little property there! The cabin was as advertised - and honestly bigger than I was picturing based on the photos! It was perfect for me and my dog, and was very quiet. I was able to find the location very easily, and the driveway was rough but my small suv handled it fine going slow.
Having the shower operational was fantastic! A very enjoyable little outdoor shower which was so welcome after a day of hiking and paddleboarding. The outhouses were also really well maintained and had no lingering smell, which I find a problem for a lot of outdoor toilets. They were also very well lit in the dark.
The A/C worked too well, and I often had to shut it off because I was cold (if you can imagine that haha) but was a great feature you wouldn’t expect from an off grid cabin.
The loft bed was very comfortable and with the fan on and window open, the temperature was also comfortable.
I got to meet one of your cleaners, as she brought me a jug of water, and she was so friendly :)
It was amazing to have Syringa Provincial park so close, which had hiking trails and a dog beach… which are two important features in my life!
