Main Area
The lights by the door control the main area lights as well the lights upstairs.
For the lights and plugs upstairs - the Switch downstairs has to be in the up position for loft plugs to work
TV remote turns on the TV which you can connect your streaming service of your choice. Remember to logout at the end of your stay. you do not want other future guests using your account. We do not monitor this.
The heat pump/AC is controlled by the white Senville remote on the wall. We suggest 71 and leave it on Auto. 71F is about 21C which is room temperature.
upstairs
Again the loft plugs will only work if the downstairs light switch is turned to the up position.
The switch will turn the light on or off regardless of the downstairs switch position
there is a remote for the vent fan or you can turn it on manually. Disregard the temperature settings on it. It is there to draw air from downstairs and push it upstairs as warm air can be trapped up top.
You may also use the larger fan to circulate air.
please close the window when your stay has finished.
All power outlets are 110V AC 60 Hz Max 15A for standard north American requirements
WE ARE SOLAR POWERED!
With that comes some challenges but we can say we our trying to do our part. We just wanted to make you aware of a few details. We don’t have the same capacity as your house. A house can have 48000W, while we have 3000W.Anything 10KW in solar is $10000+++ as the wattage goes up. So please understand power is not unlimited! The good news it’s not a continuous cost as well there is not a continuous impact on the environment. Just at production and disposal. Solar system components can last over 20 years. All this being said, please be mindful of your power usage. This is a 110V 60hz system. Will work with all north American devices.
Things to note
• Do not run the oven and the kettle at the same time that will "pop" the breaker
• Do not plug the oven or kettle into another outlet as this will have the AC on at the same time and will pop the breaker
• Please do your best to turn lights and electronics off when not in use.
• Cloudy days you have to be more aware of power use as generation is lower
•The AC/heat pump is very efficient and will work down to -15. If it’s a hot sunny day you can pump the AC all afternoon it doesn’t cost anyone any extra!
It’s a simple small system and we hope you enjoy the benefits of solar!
